In which I have a feeling of déjà vu. Sortof. At an airport. Largely self-explanatory, really.
Minneapolis St Paul International Airport, about 5:00pm, Tuesday June 12th 2018. Well, here I am once again, at an airport, heading out on an international trip, with no way to interact in real-time with the online world. It’s like it was just last year… This lack of ability to reach out and declare my thoughts and ideas with the world (or, at least, the subset that can be bothered to read them – my posts, not my thoughts, that would be horrific for all involved). It’s interesting, somewhat liberating, and the first thing I did was reach fur an electronic device (my non-connected Kindle Fire) to share my thoughts with, well, no-one.
There is no hope for us.
Still, on the upside, while doing so, I was excited to inadvertently discover that swipe is now the default keyboard entry option on the updated Kindle Fire OS.
Yup, that was actually a brief thrill because swipe is what i use on my phone and so it feels a lot more natural to me. I even excitedly shared with my ladies, who clearly didn’t grasp the magnitude of this discovery.
No hope.
Ok, not much more to say right now. I’m off to help wife finish her can of sparkling wine. Yes, can.
No hope at all.
